The biggest change in 76 was new modified hood which redirected air closer to the front of the car solving that annoying howl the earlier C3's had. This 76 has had lived a very easy life with only what is believed to be 95k original miles. Although the car originally came from the factory dark brown you could never tell without reading the trim tag. The red paint job was done right and it shows. With a heavy amount of clear sealing the bright red paint it is sure to last for years to come. With the interior having the same attention to detail you will again be hard pressed to find any signs of the original brown. It still sports the iconic, one year only, Vega steering wheel with the remainder being switched over to the classic black. The car is now what many would consider the most desirable color combo, black on red. With the outside sporting a fresh bright red paint the decision was made to go totally retro and a set of side pipes were added giving it the classic muscle look. The last thing to be addressed on the exterior was the wheels. A set of the classic steel wheels with beauty rings and matching center knock offs tie together everything nicely. Tilt the hood and you will see an exceptionally clean engine bay. The original L48 small block was removed and gone through while the engine bay itself was cleaned up and painted. With a clean bill of health the engine was painted and then reinstalled really making a huge difference to the car. The turbo 350 still gets the car moving with firm and positive up shifts you definitely realize why GM used this transmission for so many years.
